Bio-Gärtnerei Watzkendorf

About Bio-Gärtnerei Watzkendorf

The organic nursery was established after the fall of the Wall on the site of a former agricultural production cooperative (LPG) in Watzkendorf. Since 1996, the company has been operating according to ecological principles and the Bioland guidelines. Sabine Kabath and Holger Kasdorf are the partners and managing directors. Together with 30 employees and three trainees, they grow a wide range of vegetables on 21 hectares.

The perennial cultivation of green manure is taken into account as an important element in the crop rotation.
